Viktor Orbán gave permission to open the emergency reservoir between the main Lajta channel and the Balparti Channel.

By opening the second-order defense line, the emergency reservoir ensures that the first-order main defense lines are not breached by water, and guarantees the safety of Mosonmagyaróvár and its residents, the announcement reads.
