Recently, I've been re-watching parts of the legendary American TV series, The Medium. If you haven't seen it yet, you can watch it at any time - see what the internet is good for! Written by György Tóth Jr.
The bottom line is this: Allison DuBois is a psychic who sees crimes, mostly in her dreams, which she then helps solve. However, it happens that some of the spirits who visit him do not even know that he is already dead.
Recently, ghosts have appeared in Hungarian political life who - or their party - are already practically dead, but they just don't want to acknowledge it. Therefore, they pretend that they still exist and that their word and message carry a lot of weight in the world. For example, we could mention a ghost called Párbeszéd, but as the famous saying of musical clown Gábor Eötvös says: They have maaaaáásís! Do you see!?
It's just how it is.
There was once a state party called MSZP, which was reincarnated as MSZP after its demise. Until the country found out who they really were, they lived like Marci Hevesen (Marci Zöld was an outlaw, the MSZMP was a state party, and his successors from the MSZP behaved as if they were still a state party) and lied morning and night in the evening, but without batting an eye! They used hundreds of tricks to make it seem as if they were governing in the interest of the country, when only their own interests were important to them, so they committed such atrocities - hand in hand with the so-called liberals - that their leader at the time could not even imagine.
Their serious illness began in 2010, and their slow death will be completed by 2024.
Their powder pods still seem to move, but only because they have become puppets pulled on a wire, they are known to have no independent will, they move as the puppet master tugs on their strings. But he is only there until the puppet falls into tatters, or until the audience gets tired of the figure.
Although there is also a fairy tale that fits this puppet, namely Pinocchio. The wooden puppet who believes himself to be a flesh-and-blood child and whose nose grows longer and longer thanks to the lies. Well, that's how the MSZP is, it still thinks it's a party and its olfactory bulb is very long. And because it believes itself to be a party, its remaining shred of organization occasionally burps something out of itself.
They have this representative named Imre Komjáthi, who considers Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's statement that Hungary is on the threshold of an economic recovery to be ridiculous and false.
Because the country is dancing on the edge of bankruptcy, isn't it? Since 2010, the government has failed 730 times continuously, 365 days a year.
When they were in power, that was the golden age of the country!
True, unemployment was sky high, true, with some exaggeration, taxes were raised daily, true, there were no gas price increases only 13 times, visiting fees, hospital daily fees, tuition fees were introduced (in return, health institutions were gifted with armor boxes, which are indispensable tools for healing, right?) it is true that schools, kindergartens, and hospitals were closed, and teachers, kindergarten teachers, and health workers were dismissed en masse.
It's true, they reduced housing subsidies, cut 13th monthly wages and pensions, cut the gyest and gyed, and eliminated the family tax discount.
It's true that the national debt almost drove the country into the ground and only a usurious loan from the IMF provided a crutch to stay on its feet, but none of that matters. Even then, everything was fine as it was.
Now everything is bad as it is, at least according to the spirit party and its activists who are returning home.
It is true that, in the last 14 years, despite the stoppage due to the Covid epidemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war, despite the European Union sanctions against Europe, Hungary can show the best (not good, but still the best) economic results, right? a lot of spectacular investments have been completed or are still being made today, it is true that the choc was born and is working, it is true that the renovation of hospitals and medical clinics is ongoing (which is still far from sufficient, but it cannot be underestimated compared to our possibilities), it is true that the number of people working in the health sector has increased enormously , the wages of teachers, teachers and kindergarten workers, it is true that the pensioners received their 13th monthly allowance back, and if possible, they even give a pension premium.
It is true that the family support system has been expanded, and the family tax allowance works. It is true that the reduction in utilities saved the majority of families from impoverishment, but the minimum wage and the guaranteed minimum wage increased several times. It is true that we succeeded in breaking down the inflation that not only us but the whole world suffered from, all of this is a fact.
But everything is bad here. It is impossible to live here because they steal and are corrupt. Well, if it manages to develop in this way despite the thefts, then the boys and girls in government must know something very well. Stealing without anyone noticing is not only a feat, but also an art.
Speaking of corruption.
There are two types, according to Transparency and established by the World Bank. According to the former, our country is one of the most corrupt EU member states, but according to the World Bank's survey, corruption is hardly measurable in our country. Somehow I can't give credit to the putty company called Transparency, which peeks out of the pockets of the Soros and constantly attacks our country with revelations instead of facts and somehow never investigates left-liberal parties or municipalities in corruption cases.
What's more, the debate between Miklós Ligeti and Tamás Lánczi at Tranziton did not reveal what method is used to measure alleged Hungarian corruption. Because it can't be objectively measured, can't it - i.e. it's established and announced with a punch in the stomach.
This is the scientific approach. By the way, the left registers as corruption everything that goes to "ner-enterprises", i.e. all corruption that can be linked to the government in any business way. So it is also corruption if a company "close to the government" wins a public tender.
By the way, Mr. Ligeti mentioned, among other things, the World Bank as a source of corruption assessment. Well, Mikike, that's called an own goal.
But back to the ghost MSZP. Our dear returnee, Mr. Komjáthi, was a locksmith in terms of his original profession, which is a respectable and honest profession, my father-in-law was also a locksmith, may God rest his soul. He was a great person, inquisitive, knowledgeable, even though he was a "simple locksmith". I do not dispute that Mr. Komjáthi can be an excellent locksmith. He also proved this when he chained himself to the gate of the Suzuki factory that year. It was a wonderful locksmith job.
On the other hand, as far as his performance as a politician is concerned, not much can be said about it, apart from the chained Prometheus action, because it was at least spectacular and utterly pointless. Now here is this announcement, which is even more meaningless. So there is nothing to analyze it.
Mainly there is none, because they come from a person who resigned from the post of vice-president of a ghost party on September 28th, who does not understand (based on his degree he cannot understand) economic issues, but he still makes revelations.
You can, in this country the expression of opinion is free, but under the auspices of this, perhaps you shouldn't talk nonsense.
We could also use an Allison DuBois who could explain to those involved: my friends, you no longer existed. You just haven't caught on yet.
