Every year since 2013, Highlights of Hungary has been researching those individuals and communities who have created outstanding and exemplary works in their field. Public voting for this year's candidates has begun.

The non-profit platform called Highlights of Hungary is searching again this year, awarding the best Hungarian achievements without categories.

The goal of the organization is to recognize Hungarian stories created as a combination of talent, diligence and courage both here and beyond our borders, make them widely known, and through them inspire our environment to creative action. The candidates for the award have already been selected by the Highlights of Hungary ambassadors, but the final decision will require your help.

Public voting for this year's Highlights of Hungary candidates has begun, the organizers told MTI on Tuesday.

According to their announcement, from October 1, the public can vote on which three of the 25 candidates will receive the Highlights of Hungary award for outstanding Hungarian achievements and the associated HUF 2 million prize.

You can vote until October 20 on highlightsofhungary.hu,

where, in addition to the ambassador's recommendations, short films presenting the candidates can also be viewed. This year, clinical psychologist Kitti Almási, television presenter-editor Marcsi Borbás, Olympic champion swimmer Dániel Gyurta, poet János Lackfi and singer T. Danny are among the nominees for the award: a musician, doctor, baker, teacher, an application that helps parents and a traditional accommodation.
