So much for that. Immigrants would be settled in our country with a mandatory quota.
Members of the European Parliament voted on budgetary matters in Brussels this week. On behalf of the Tisza Party, representative Kinga Kollár accused Fidesz representatives of bias in the interpretation of the votes. However, the Magyar Nemzet reviewed the decisions and it is clear that Péter Magyar's party supported the infamous migration pact, which would settle immigrants in our country with a mandatory quota.
Speaking to Hungarian journalists on Thursday, Tamás Deutsch said that in the EP vote on the EU budget for 2025, all representatives of the Tisza Party voted for the entry into force as soon as possible of the EU migration pact, which is considered flawed by the citizens of the Union and several governments, and which encourages illegal migration.
According to the information of the head of the Fidesz delegation, the Tisza Party's EP representatives supported the proposal that the EU allocate ten billion forints more to the direct care of migrants arriving in the Union. With the support vote of the Tisza Party MEPs, the EP also accepted a proposal that deems it appropriate that Hungary received a severe punishment from the Court of the European Union, and also states: it is right to punish Hungary with two hundred million euros for saying no to illegal migration, as well as a legal and technical border closure did not allow migrants to enter the territory of the country and the Union.
As an answer, Kinga Kollár, the EP representative of the Tisza Party, announced on Facebook:
"On the other hand, the truth is that there was no vote on reimbursing the costs of the fence, just as there was no vote on whether it was right to punish Hungary for saying no to illegal migration. The Fidesz representatives did not specifically nod to any increase in the costs of border protection. According to them, the amount voted by the council, where the Hungarian government sits, could have remained. On the other hand, we actually voted more money for border fences, border protection and to filter out illegal immigrants even before the EU borders."
However, Magyar Nemzet reviewed the decisions and it is clear that Péter Magyar's party in Brussels supported the infamous migration pact, which would settle immigrants in our country. The Tisza Party supported the EU's flawed migration policy because it voted that additional resources should be provided for the implementation of the new asylum and migration pact. We quote the relevant part of the document:
"Additional funding is needed within the framework of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund to ensure the proper and rapid implementation of the Asylum and Migration Pact; therefore decides to strengthen the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund by 25 million euros compared to the draft budget by 2025, given that it contributed positively to the immediate support of refugees."
As you can see, the proposal voted by the Magyars literally included the proper and quick implementation of the pact.
It is known that this is the agreement in which the mandatory resettlement quota is also included. According to this, the country that does not accept migrants must pay. Many politicians stated when the pact was adopted that it contradicted the principle of voluntarism previously accepted at the EU level.
Three countries voted against the pact: Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.
The migration pact is a kind of encouragement to encourage unlimited and uncontrolled illegal migration, so that soon millions can start again in the direction of Europe. However, all this does not meet the opinion of European citizens. The project research of Századvég Europe mapped the attitudes of the population in Europe related to the European Union's migration pact and the perception of illegal immigration.
The survey revealed that six out of ten Europeans say no to the mandatory distribution of illegal immigrants. The research shows that 60 percent of EU citizens do not agree with the new migration pact, which allows illegal migrants to be resettled in European countries without the intervention of member states, while the proportion of supporters of the Brussels decision is only 27 percent. The proportion of those rejecting the Brussels Pact in Hungary is the highest among the European countries examined: 85 percent of Hungarians say no to the mandatory resettlement of illegal migrants .
In addition to voting for the migration pact, it is also clear from the overview of the votes that the Tisza Party supported the European Court against Hungary. Because Péter Magyar refused to condemn the two hundred million euro fine that was imposed on Hungary, while our country only protects the external borders of the union with its procedure. All the Tisza Party MEPs who participated in the voting voted down the proposal that Hungary receive two billion euros in support to cover the costs of the border fence erected on the southern borders.
