The focus is on issues related to housing.
"We are planning further housing subsidies, with which young people would receive significant support for their first home purchase, and workers for rent and home renovation. We are also waiting for your opinion on the issue at the national consultation that is starting now!" - can be read on the government's Facebook page in the post published by the parliamentary state secretary of the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office.
Balázs Hidvéghi reminded in the posted video: Budapest is struggling with serious housing problems, one of the reasons for which is that the rents have been significantly increased by the short-term rental of Airbnb apartments for tourists.
According to Hidvéghi, this problem should have been handled by the capital, but in recent years the city administration has not succeeded in doing so.
The government is ready to take measures for affordable housing in the capital and the countryside as well - emphasized the state secretary, who also pointed out:
in the economic action plan, several planned measures have already been presented for this purpose, of which the opinion of the Hungarian people is "especially requested" on three topics.
One of the questions concerns whether the government should provide tax relief to companies if they contribute to subsidizing their employees' housing. In addition, citizens can express their opinion on whether the SZÉP card can be used for home renovation, while the third question related to the topic concerns whether the government should introduce new measures to support young people's housing in addition to the CSOK Plusz.
This could be the construction of new dormitories, as well as the introduction of a discounted home loan with a 5 percent interest rate for young people buying their first home, said Balázs Hidvéghi, who reminded that the government is also waiting for the citizens' answers on these questions.
