The Hungarian Theater is pleased to announce that Gábor Reviczky, an actor awarded with the title of Artist of the Nation, winner of the Kossuth and Jászai Mari Prizes, a regular member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, will return to the stage as a member of the company, the theater wrote in its announcement.

Gábor Reviczky appears in the role of conductor and composer Péter Simon in the world-famous musical, Somewhere in Europe, written by László Dés – István Nemes – György Böhm – György Korcsmáros – Péter Horváth.
The name of Gábor Reviczky, winner of the Gold Medal and Tolnay Klári Prize, has been closely intertwined with the Hungarian Theater over the years, since Valahol Europan - which has had nearly 200 performances so far and has been an audience favorite for years - was originally staged with him under the direction of Viktor Nagy. The iconic songs of conductor Péter Simon were performed on the stage of the theater for the first time.
Gábor Reviczky will be seen for the first time on Saturday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 3 at 3:00 p.m. on the stage of the Hungarian Theater in the musical Somewhere in Europe.
The actor was first diagnosed with cancer in 2022, and later developed metastases. He recently said in an interview that he has undergone six chemotherapy treatments and that he is cured of cancer. He said that he is fine, and he doesn't care about his illness because he doesn't want it to control him.
Reviczky previously also said that despite his 75 years of age, he does not appear to be out of work. He shoots films and TV shows, although he has been retired for a long time, he does not plan to end his work. Now he is throwing himself into theater work again - reports 24.hu.
