The renovation of the City Park measured itself together with the popular tourist attractions of more than one hundred and twenty countries, and it proved to be the best in its category based on the votes of the jury and then the audience.

The Liget Budapest project in Dubai was chosen as the best tourism development in Europe at the International Travel Awards, Városliget Zrt., responsible for the implementation of the Liget Budapest project, told MTI on Monday.

According to the announcement, the International Travel Awards is one of the most prestigious recognitions in the international travel, tourism and hospitality industry, which rewards the best of the sector out of thousands of actors every year. Every year, nominations for buildings, natural attractions and special attractions are received in several categories per continent, from which the winner is selected by public vote. Tourism professionals, the media and visitors voted for the candidates from all over the world this year, including the Liget Budapest project.

As it was pointed out, the renovation of the City Park measured itself together with the popular tourist attraction of more than one hundred and twenty countries, and it proved to be the best in its category based on the votes of the jury and then the audience.

"The historic renewal of Városliget is based on a combination of three key areas: real estate development - from the construction of new contemporary buildings to the renovation of existing cultural institutions to park development - culture and tourism," the announcement quoted the CEO of Városliget Zrt .

According to Benedek Gyorgyevics, their developments in the first two categories won many awards in previous years.

And now we are proud that the project can now claim one of the most prestigious international recognitions in the third area, the tourism sector.
