They are fed up with political division and are considering emigration.

A record number of wealthy Americans are considering leaving the United States after the Nov. 5 election, regardless of who wins, as they expect political and social instability, CNBC reported.

According to lawyers and consultants interviewed by the portal, at least 30 percent more wealthy Americans plan to emigrate than last year.

David Lesperance, managing partner of Lesperance and Associates, an international tax and immigration firm, said that

the number of Americans seeking advice about moving overseas has roughly tripled since last year.

According to consulting firm Henley & Partners, most people are considering European countries - namely Portugal, Malta, Greece, Spain and Italy - as destinations.

According to an October survey by consulting company Arton Capital, 53 percent of American millionaires say that they would tend to leave the United States after the election, regardless of who wins. This rate is the highest among younger millionaires,

64 percent of 18- to 29-year-old millionaires said they were “very interested” in getting a golden visa in certain European countries.

The survey found that many Americans are tired of the country's political division, regardless of who wins this year's presidential election.
