According to a Polish press report, Viktor Orbán is also traveling to the United States to attend President-elect Donald Trump's event in Florida. Polish President Andrzej Duda, a member of the right-wing Law and Justice party, is also traveling to the event.
Polish President Andrzej Duda will fly to the United States at around 10 o'clock on Friday evening to attend Donald Trump's presidential event in Mar-a-Lago, reports the Polish newspaper Wyborcza
according to which Viktor Orbán will also participate in the same event.
Citing its sources, the newspaper writes that the president did not consult with the Polish government about the visit - so much so that even the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is said to be unaware of Andrzej Duda's unexpected trip.
"On Friday afternoon, the presidential officials only informed a group of reliable journalists that they should be ready to travel overseas with Duda," the Polish newspaper reports.
The spokesperson of the National Security Agency, Marcin Skowron, did not deny the information about the visit.
According to Wyborcza, the members of the party called Law and Justice must have jumped out of their skins when it turned out that Donald Trump had won the American elections. As they write, the result of the overseas battle between the Republicans and the Democrats came in handy for the party, as they can use the victory as a weapon with which to "hit the government coalition in the stomach". According to some, Donald Trump's victory "puts wind in the sails of the right-wing party" .
A similar euphoric mood could be heard from around the presidential palace on Wednesday. Polish President Andrzej Duda congratulated Donald Trump on his victory early in the morning via social media.
