We belong somewhere with European history, if we give this up, there is nothing left. If you don't know who you are, they make you what they want you to be, said Lorenzo Bernasconi, representative of the Italian Machiavelli Study Center, in his speech at the V. EuCET conference.
We believe that change will come, despite the fact that European morality and ideas are more fragmented than ever. The world is moving towards a multipolar model and this fact hides both challenges and opportunities for Europe. These challenges must be faced, and the opportunities must be exploited, and for this we must remember who we are. We are not an American colony without an identity, nor do we want to become an Islamic theocracy. We are Poles, Hungarians, Czechs, Italians, Europeans. This is our house, the house that our fathers built with blood and sacrifice, and Europe is ours - emphasized Lorenzo Bernasconi in his speech.
