The declaration of competitiveness adopted in Budapest could bring about a turnaround in the economy, Gergely Gulyás stated in the Government Information. The minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office believed that with the presidency of Donald Trump, in agreement with Hungarian ideas, Europe is getting closer to peace.
Last week, the largest diplomatic summit in Hungary's history took place in Budapest - Gergely Gulyás began the Kormányinfo, saying that the meeting was effective and successful, the most important proof of this is the declaration of competitiveness, which was adopted at the informal meeting. After all
Europe fell behind the USA in the global economic competition, Brussels rules harmed competitiveness,
and they would change that with the new statement. In other words, the European Union suffers from problems, in most cases Brussels is the problem and not the solution. However, the declaration of competitiveness that was adopted in Budapest last week could mean a turning point.
One of the important objectives of the Hungarian EU presidency is to achieve peace as soon as possible. After the victory of Donald Trump, it is inevitable to talk about peace, according to the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office.
"From now on, the world's strongest country and largest military power will switch from the party of war to the party of peace," he declared, and reminded that the new president was among the first to speak with Viktor Orbán, and that they also discussed future plans, which indicates
Hungary has acquired such a strong alliance. He emphasized that the alliance between the USA and Hungary has never been as strong as it will be with the presidency of Donald Trump.
Gergely Gulyás also reported that the government submitted the 2025 budget to the Parliament. He put it this way: the 2025 budget is the budget of the new economic policy. He repeated: with the victory of Donald Trump, we can realistically count on the fact that next year peace in Europe will become available, which will benefit both the European Union and our country, because we can manage with more money. This gives you the opportunity to
the government will double the tax benefits for home building and family support.
The already presented 21-point economic action plan contains the necessary guarantees for all of this, said the minister, who confirmed that, in addition to maintaining student loans, Hungary can provide youth workers' loans, and new housing subsidies will be introduced. He also confirmed that
the goal is still the average salary of one million forints within a few years.
According to Gergely Gulyás, the optimism for next year's economic policy is also supported by the developments so far: next year, the new factory of BMW and BYD will also start production in Hungary. The minister also drew attention to the fact that the government did not forget about small and medium-sized enterprises, the 3.5 percent interest rate loans fixed in the Sándor Demján plan are available to them. He added that all this will contribute to economic growth together with the boom in the construction industry.
Gergely Gulyás announced that the government will start housing subsidies of HUF 150,000 per month from January 1.
Until now, the employer could give the employee a HUF 450,000 tax discount.
From January 1, you can provide additional support of up to HUF 150,000 per month for subletting or housing loan repayments for employees under the age of 35 with favorable tax rules.
The minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office promised that the government will continue to raise teachers' wages, and that there will be a 30 percent wage increase in the water sector, which has been proven during the flood period. Gergely Gulyás thought it important to emphasize that
next year's budget also provides the amount that can be spent on family allowances,
in other words, all the objectives that everyone could get to know from the period of civilian governance of the past decade have been financially covered in next year's budget.
At the end of the minister's briefing, he encouraged everyone to use the opportunity and fill out the questionnaires of the national consultation.
