Opposition politicians consider this type of expression by anyone unacceptable.
The president of the TISZA Party is not only receiving harsh criticism from the right, the left is also distancing itself from Magyar, who also despises his own sympathizers.
Several audio recordings of Péter Magyar were published this week, in which the politician first criticizes his party's sympathizers and then his fellow party members in an unclassifiable style. The first audio material was published on Monday, in which the leader of the TISZA Party talked about pensioner commandos, and then freaked out that
his followers have a "stinky mouth".
They broke up, we passed through Hősök square at 40 degrees, I said, what the hell am I doing here? People stink, and their mouths, bleee," Magyar said.
Is it lower than that? According to a recording, Péter Magyar is disgusted by his own followers
The recording was most likely recorded after the event of the TISZA Party on June 8, held in Hősök square.
Magyar then joked that the grandmothers who expect him to bring their grandchildren home from abroad would be surprised if he told them that
buy yourself a new one”.
Péter Magyar does not have a very good opinion of his direct colleagues either: as is well known, the party's leader also spoke in a humiliating tone about the TISZA Party's EP representatives. In the audio recordings published on Thursday, Magyar is asked by Evelin Vogel, the partner of the party leader at the time: who were the brain-dead people the party leader had previously told him about, to which the head of TISZA replied:
"Let's say my EP candidates".
"Stop it! I will write to them in the afternoon that no one will comment, no fucking way (*ki@-tul senki – the ed.), no one, except me. Because there are 600 types of press here, and everything," said Péter Magyar. One of them did make a statement, and the EP representative was so outraged by this that he said:
I describe it to him in Hungarian... I understand that he is a Soros agent and does not know Hungarian [...] I say, do you know Hungarian? can you read So what the hell did you do?”
Calling him brain dead, Péter Magyar humiliated his own candidates - WITH VIDEO
"They are all so untalented. I turn them into MEPs without them having any idea what it is or how, and I do it... the best job in the world. They earn 10 million per month, plus the EP representatives, right?" he continued.
When asked by Mandiner, several opposition politicians sharply criticized Péter Magyar's statements.
Tibor Szanyi, the president of ISZOMM, said that of course the statement of the TISZA president cannot be accepted, however, according to him, this kind of vulgarity is unfortunately characteristic of the whole society and can be seen in everyday life.
Sanyi put it this way, politics is not needed for this, rudeness appears everywhere, people are impatient during traffic, in the store and often scold each other's relatives.
"Okay, we're human, everyone has this, that, that slips out of their mouth. But if it slips out, if it doesn't, these are still unacceptable things," said Tibor Szanyi.
The left-wing politician answered our newspaper's question, "Shouldn't politicians set an example and at least they shouldn't behave like that?" He answered that politicians often depict what public life is like, if a politician speaks well, society will not be right. According to his words, society's sensitivity to abuse should be increased, so that similar remarks and outbursts could be alleviated.
We also asked Gyula Thürmer, the president of the Workers' Party, who said that his party is much more concerned with whether the war in Ukraine will end or continue, they are more concerned with whether a new world order will emerge or not.
I think that Hungarian politics and, of course, the relevant opposition leader should also deal with this - he added, and then added that he considers the kind of expressions he made towards his sympathizers unacceptable not only from Péter Magyar, but from anyone.
This has no place in serious political life, he noted.
