All kindergartens, primary and secondary schools can join the largest school fundraiser in the country: the organizers support the children of needy families with the Christmas Smiley Elves campaign, which runs until December 11, the Hungarian Charity Service of Malta announced.

According to the announcement, in the campaign organized by the PontVelem Smart Program, the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service, the GLS Hungary Parcel Logistics Service and the State Secretariat for Public Education of the Ministry of the Interior, toys, sweets, and gifts packed in shoeboxes with personal messages will be delivered to the children of families in difficult situations before the holiday.

All elementary schools in the country can join the campaign, and the collection can also be supported with cash via the adomanyozz.hu website.

They drew attention to the fact that children who want to help can drop off the gift packages at their school between November 11 and December 11. All the teachers participating in the collection (or the parents helping them) have to do is to register on the pontvelem.hu interface and indicate that there is a donation ready for delivery.

GLS Hungary takes the packages to the warehouses of the Maltese Charity Service, and the organization delivers them to children in need before Christmas.

" Those who want to help, but have outgrown school age, can offer the amount intended for donation on the page of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service https://adomanyozz.hu/gyujtes/mosolymanok24, " the announcement states.
