Strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises can make Hungary strong again. SMEs is particularly important because 99 percent of 900,000 enterprises in Hungary are micro-enterprises and SMEs , said the Fidesz faction leader at a press conference in Dombóvár.

Máté Kocsis explained before the Fidesz national consultation forum in Dombóvár: although 20 out of 27 member states voted for change in the European Parliament elections in June, the European Commission was established in an unchanged form, with a leader and ideas.

"The EU is trying to force us to participate in an economic cold war, they are working to split the eastern and western economies"

he declared.

He said that it is in Hungary's interest to strive for economic neutrality. 76 percent of Hungary's gross national product comes from exports, so the country is interested in being able to trade with all corners of the world. That is why we are in dispute with the Brussels elite, he noted.

One of our goals is to make Hungary strong again with the new economic policy, he said.

He highlighted

strengthening SMEs is particularly important because 99 percent of the 900,000 enterprises in Hungary are micro-enterprises and SMEs.

In addition to the wage agreement concluded on Monday, he called the additional subsidies that "help Hungarian life" important. Among them, he mentioned the worker's loan, which young people participating in vocational training can use as a kind of student loan.

He also spoke about the fact that the family tax allowance will increase by 100 percent on January 1, 2026 in two steps: for one child, it will increase from 10,000 to 20,000, for two children from 20,000 to 40,000, and for three children from 100,000 to 200,000.

He indicated:

the government is preparing a number of measures regarding housing.

Among these will be housing loans with reduced interest rates, and the possibility for companies to deduct the housing support provided to their employees from their taxes is under development. Similar to previous home building and renovation subsidies, a HUF three million fund is available for young families with children living in the villages, he explained.

These measures are being attacked from Brussels and from home. We can only make Hungary strong again if the government has the support of the people behind it, he added.

The faction leader introduced Krisztina Csibi, the candidate of Fidesz and KDNP in the January 12th Dombóvár by-election. By-elections must be held in Dombóvár because the Fidesz representative János Árpád Potápi, who won a mandate here in 2022, died on October 17.

"The Tisza Party didn't even dare to run in the election, unfortunately we won't be able to show the superiority of the government party against the big-mouthed Paprikyancs," said Máté Kocsis.
