The Prime Minister congratulated the RMDSZ on social media.

Viktor Orbán evaluated the Romanian parliamentary elections in his Facebook post on Monday.

"Victory! Transylvanian Hungarians did it. Congratulations to Kelemen Hunor and RMDSZ!" - wrote the Hungarian Prime Minister in his post.

According to Monday's data summarizing the voting results, the RMDSZ received significantly more votes in Sunday's parliamentary election than four years earlier, and in fact, it had not achieved such an outstanding result in 20 years.

With 99.71 percent of the votes processed, the RMDSZ has 589,865 votes, which means 6.42 percent.

Regarding previous parliamentary elections:

– In December 2020, 339,000 people voted for the RMDSZ, which was 5.74 percent, this year it received almost a quarter of a million more votes;

– In the 2016 parliamentary elections, the RMDSZ received 435,969 votes, thus reaching 6.19 percent.

– In 2012, RMDSZ obtained 5.14 percent of the votes with 380,565 votes.

– and in 2008, he won 425,008 votes, which was 6.17 percent.

This year, with 99.71 percent of the votes processed, the RMDSZ has 589,865 votes, which means 6.42 percent.
