The minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office denounces the news portal, whose journalist can be punished by imprisonment for a misdemeanor.
Journalists from opposition portals were waiting for Antal Rogán, the minister who heads the Prime Minister's Office, who was asked by a 444-hu employee about whether he consulted with Dávid Vitézy or Péter Ungár of the LMP during the municipal campaign. The scene was recorded and published by Telex, which was reported by Mandiner
Rogán categorically denied the journalists' assumption, indicating that he is still waiting for the evidence, which no one has come up with so far.
In response, the journalist took a photo of the minister's phone display, which, according to him, shows an exchange of messages with Dávid Vitézy about the BKK.
The minister replied that the services had already warned that they would come forward with this, and also pointed out that
photographing the phone of the minister responsible for national security services in Parliament exhausts the concept of a crime.
"I'm glad for him that he admitted this, and the further consequences should be taken into account," Rogán told the journalist. "Taking photos of my phone or other people's is not only unethical, it's against the law," he added.
He repeated that during the campaign he never once met or consulted with Vitézy, but it does happen that Vitézy sends him a link after they are old acquaintances. But he doesn't really respond to them.
“I was wondering when this footage would be pulled. I will report you"
said the minister.
To Telex's question, if Rogán knew that they were going to do this, it meant that the 444.hu journalist would be wiretapped, he said: the services had warned him that his phone was constantly being photographed in the Parliament.
I recently gave you an hour and a half interview, so why didn't you come up with this?
- the minister asked the bewildered 444, who could only defend himself by saying that he did not conduct the interview. At the same time, Rogán gave the answer: "because they keep their illegally taken photos in order to take them out when you like."
