The Józsefváros president of the DK was questioned by the police as a suspect for disorderly conduct and drug possession, who went on a rampage in a Budapest apartment building at dawn on Tuesday, Magyar Nemzet . Abd El Rahim was restrained, an ambulance was called and he was taken to hospital.
According to the authority, "2024. On December 3, at 2:26 a.m., an announcement was received that a VI. in the stairwell of a district apartment building, a heavily drunk man is behaving in a rowdy manner, banging on the entrance doors and kicking them. The police went to the scene, took action against the man, and then called an ambulance, which took the thirty-year-old resident of Budapest to the hospital."
They added: "in connection with the case, BRFK VI. The District Police Department launched an investigation on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Determining whether the man consumed drugs or other mind-altering substances is the task of the ongoing process." The latter appears to be confirmed, as the DK politician was also suspected of drug possession.
Abd El Rahim, nicknamed Ali, recently announced that he will run for the Gyurcsány party's presidential post in January. He gave an exclusive interview to hirado.hu , "For nearly a year, the president of the DK and his close circle have been losing momentum to such an extent that it is feared that the party may even be destroyed during the 2026 elections. "
The DK politician also said that his party must be reformed. As he put it: "A new, left-wing vision must be developed and put on the voters' table in a political sense." He added that he is proud of the fact that every fifth member of the Democratic Coalition under the age of 35 comes from the district he leads, i.e. the rejuvenation of DK is mainly due to them.

On the one hand, the DK politician is not accused, but suspected, and on the other hand, if drugs are detected in someone's blood, it is equivalent to drug possession according to the law, which is why he was also suspected of disorderly conduct for the latter act, reports Magyar Nemzet.
