Those who know him say that he always sought the company of younger children. His neighbors, although they considered János a disgusting person, were still shocked when they found out what he did 24 years ago.
Bors found a childhood acquaintance of Tamás Till's killer: according to the man, János F. was aggressive and strange even as a teenager. The informant speaking to the newspaper believes that the perpetrator deserves to be imprisoned for many years.
Journalists and reporters flooded one of Soroksár's quiet, garden streets on December 12, after it was revealed that Tamás Till's killer lives there. János F. wanted to help a friend who was preparing for a plea bargain by telling him: he knows where the little boy who disappeared in 2000 is buried. His idea was that his friend would pass on this confidential information to the police.
However, the investigators quickly got to the mastermind F. and interrogated him. F. first lied that the child was killed by the elderly owner of a farm in Baja, and then entrusted two boys who were being raised in an institution to bury the body and then encase it in concrete.
The task - F. continued his lie - was undertaken only by one of the teenagers, who was also rewarded by the master turner.
However, during the investigation, the uniformed officers found that F. János was misleading them, and finally the now 40-year-old man confessed that he killed the boy.
Police initially believed that because he was under 18 when he committed the crime, the brutal crime was now statute-barred. As it turned out, the man was not nearly as smart as he believed himself to be, because the Attorney General's Office, in the course of interpreting the legislation at the time of the commission and the currently effective legislation, came to the conclusion that the calculation of the statute of limitations is conceptually excluded in the case of non-statutory crimes, such as qualified homicide .
Consequently, if someone commits qualified homicide as a juvenile, it cannot be statute-barred in the same way as if he committed it as an adult.
Few people know F. János where he lives in Soroksári, but those who have met him have nothing good to say about him.
He got into fights with almost everyone on the street. He behaved as if he owned the whole street and thought he was the one to decide who could park where, said an older lady, adding that although János was considered a nasty person, they were still shocked when they found out what he did 24 years ago.
"I have grandchildren with whom I live, so it's terrible to think that I lived in the immediate vicinity of a child killer for a while," the lady concluded.
A childhood friend of János F. told the newspaper: they always suspected that something was wrong with the man.
- Two of my brothers also lived in the same institution as János, so I know a lot about him. He always sought the company of institutional children who were significantly younger than him. He liked to take them to the playground to smoke cigarettes. I find it particularly outrageous that he tried to blame the murder on Uncle Józsi, and the disappearance of the body on my friend Peti. They both committed suicide, so they can no longer defend themselves. You should know about Peti that he was a guy with extremely good intentions, I played a lot of soccer with him.
I sincerely hope that F. receives the punishment he deserves from the law. I knew Tamáska and her parents, and the grieving family deserves justice
- concluded F.'s old acquaintance.
At the Kecskemét District Court, in accordance with the prosecutor's motion, the investigating judge ordered the arrest of János F. on Saturday.
Blikk knows that János F., although he previously admitted his actions, now denies the murder. Tamás Till expressed his condolences to the parents of their son's death.
– The court ordered the arrest of the suspect for one month, who, based on the available data, can be reasonably suspected of having killed an 11-year-old boy on May 28, 2000. The classification of the investigative authority is homicide committed with particular cruelty, for a nefarious reason and to the detriment of a person under the age of 14. The investigating judge saw that there was a risk of escape and hiding and ordered the arrest in order to ensure his presence. The decision is not final, because the suspect and his lawyer have filed an appeal, said Szabolcs Sárközi, the spokesperson of the Kecskemét Court.
