Franciscan monk Csaba Böjte said: it was a special gift for the residents of the home that the President of the Republic lit the third Advent candle in the Deva chapel before Joy Sunday.

Brother Csaba's work, which he does in the institutional system he founded, is exemplary - said Tamás Sulyok on Saturday in Déván, after visiting the children's home operated by the Szent Ferenc Foundation. The President of the Republic brought balls, board games, and badminton equipment as gifts to the children who gathered to receive him from several Transylvanian social homes of the network, who returned the gift with a short Christmas program.

He said: it was touching for him how cohesive, clinging to each other, a living community he found in the Deva home.

"In today's atomized world, when the holding forces in society disappear, or often seem to disappear, I think that the power of community, the power of holding on to each other, the power of keeping each other comes to the fore especially clearly these days. And here, with these children, I especially felt this, and I saw on their faces in almost all of our expressions how much they pay attention to others," said Tamás Sulyok.

He added: adults should learn this from children.

"We have to learn and strengthen our communities for our own survival, because there is no nation without communities. The nation is also a community, but in order for the nation to be strong, our communities must also be strong," emphasized the President of the Republic.

Franciscan monk Csaba Böjte said: it was a special gift for the residents of the home that the President of the Republic lit the third Advent candle in the Deva chapel before Joy Sunday.

"Right, the first gift was given by the Heavenly Father, because he loved this world so much that he gave us his only son at Christmas. And I think that if the Good Lord has this beautiful feature shining on his face, it would be good if we were all gifts to each other, and of course not only at Christmas," said the Franciscan monk.

The Szent Ferenc Foundation, established by Csaba Böjte in 1993, currently operates 52 boarding homes and 20 day care homes in Romania from private donations and public funds, and during its three decades of existence, it has provided for the education and care of approximately six thousand children living in difficult financial situations or abandoned.
