The 90-year-old theater artist will have to undergo surgery for the injury, and many of his performances and rehearsals may be missed due to the accident. Before he broke his bone, he was still preparing for Christmas, this year he asked for something touching.

Gyula Bodrogi, the Actor of the Nation, fell down the stairs and was hospitalized on December 23, Blikk . According to the newspaper, the 90-year-old actor was on his way home from a guest house when he became dizzy and fell down the unlit stairwell and suffered a broken bone. For this reason, he was sent to SOTE's accident surgery, where he will be operated on, which is why he also spends Christmas within the walls of the specialized institution. The actor said that he hopes to return home as soon as possible, but for now he does not know what his fate will be. Many of his performances and rehearsals may be missed due to the accident.

The peace of mankind would be the greatest gift for him

A few days ago, the Kossuth and two-time Jászai Mari prize-winning actor, director, worthy and excellent artist recalled the intimate festive moments of his childhood M2 Petőfi TV . While as a little boy he dreamed of a planer, nowadays the peace of mankind would be his greatest gift.

Gyula Bodrogi fondly remembers his childhood and the magical atmosphere of Christmas. His favorite gift was a hobby planer made for children. As he said, the anticipation of the months leading up to the holiday is still vividly alive in him, as he hoped to receive the coveted toy, which later awaited him under the Christmas tree.

Nowadays, however, he looks forward to the holidays because of family togetherness and delicious snacks.

He shared that game food is always on the holiday table. It is a tradition to sing together the Christmas song "Angel from Heaven" and give each other gifts.

At the same time, Gyula Bodrogi reminded us that the biggest surprises are found unwrapped under the tree.

For him, the real gift is if we can live in peace and harmony with each other.

"At the moment I can only say big words, I would like peace for Christmas. But peace in such a way that people are not afraid of war. I know we should be talking about fun things at this time, but I admit that this is my greatest desire," he declared on the live program Esti Kornél.
