MTVA gave a snappy answer to Péter Magyar.

"Program change. As far as I know, the quarter-hour time slot after the National Anthem is empty in the New Year's Eve program of the "köz" television, I offer that I would be happy to give my New Year's speech there," Péter Magyar wrote in his social media post on Sunday in connection with the fact that the President of the Republic Tamás Sulyok, breaking with the previous tradition, held a Christmas greeting on December 26 instead of the traditional New Year's speech.

The press and marketing office of the MTVA responded to Péter Magyar's post in a statement, in which it stated:

"The genre of cabaret is busy. We have already signed on."

The communique also wished a happy new year.
