The United States Coalition for Life (USCL), the nation's oldest pro-life organization, is asking ministers of all pro-life denominations to ring church bells on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at noon local time.
Abortion is the leading cause of death in the United States, killing approximately 1.2 million children each year. The problem is sometimes overwhelming and unfathomable, but we know that "with God all things are possible," reads the Coalition Life website.
The organization's mission is to place loving and effective pro-life advocates in front of abortion facilities to provide "the last line of defense for every mother and child in crisis."
Led by Brian Westbrook, Coalition Life counselors and "prayer volunteers" have helped save hundreds of children from abortion since 2009.
Now the organization has issued a call to churches under the title "Bells for Life". In it, he asks pro-lifers to renew their commitment to supplementing the Constitution's protection of human life, which recognizes and protects unborn children at all stages of fetal development.
Randy Engel, founder of USCL, explained that “The Bell for Life must ring loudest in Washington so that President Donald Trump, who is inaugurated just two days before, understands his responsibility to protect the lives of millions of unborn American citizens. "
