This was announced by the Media1.hu website, referring to the NMHH's announcement. According to this, the Media Council examined Klubrádió's tender offer and found that it did not meet the tender requirements in several respects.
Based on an examination of public company data, it was determined that Klubrádió's illegal management for several years can be initiated against it at any time in accordance with the applicable company law rules, and as a company operating on uncertain foundations and in an illegal economic situation, it cannot receive a frequency.
The Media Council also found that the application contains essential programming errors. According to the Media Council, the submitted program plan did not meet the basic requirements of radio broadcasting, it contained contradictions, which cannot be considered based on previous court decisions, objective errors, and therefore cannot be accepted in the case of any application.
Based on these, the Media Council did not see the legal and efficient utilization of the frequency allocated for community purposes as ensured, and therefore determined the tender offer to be invalid and the tender procedure ineffective. Klubrádió can appeal against the decision within fifteen days.
As the Hungarian press also reported, yesterday, in the plenary debate of the EP, in addition to Hungarian, the situation of Polish and Slovenian press freedom was also discussed. On the part of Fidesz, the issue of silencing Klubrádió was once again called a "hysterical campaign", while Vera Jourová, the vice-president of the European Commission, indicated that pressure on the media cannot be allowed.
