Last week, Matteo Salvini, the leader of the Italian League, spoke about the plan affecting the balance of power in the European Parliament. In an interview, he revealed his plan to form a joint representative group with Hungarians and Poles - it was announced on Kossuth Radio's European Time program.

István Pócza , research director of the Danube Institute, said: The idea of the new faction is interesting because it could be created from three different factions, one is Fidesz, which would come from the People's Party, the other is the Liga, which is part of the representative group called Identity and Democracy, while the Polish Law and Justice party is in the faction of the European Conservatives and Reformists.

One way is to create a new coalition, or someone should move to another faction, but there are such serious differences between the parties of each party family that the latter is less likely. Such a transformation would seriously redraw the balance of power, from an intellectual and political point of view, if Italian, Hungarian and Polish forces joined forces. This would force conservative or right-wing party families, such as the People's Party, because such a conservative alternative could be attractive to many, read on Híradó.hu .
