The epidemic situation has also shown that a strong domestic food industry is needed, because this is the only way to ensure the country's continuous and safe food supply - declared Mihály Varga at the virtual handover of the new production unit of VITA-Sütő Kft.

The Minister of Finance emphasized that the government's goal is to help the development of food industry enterprises, and resources have been provided for this from the budget side as well.

The minister explained: in the last 5 years, the development of 179 companies worth HUF 380 billion was realized with the Large Enterprise Investment Support, which created more than 3,100 jobs . Thanks to the program, VITA-Sütő Kft. built a new hall and set up a modern production line at its premises. The company developed its baking plant in Komárom with HUF 280 million government support, worth HUF 800 million.

The investment contributed to the preservation of 270 jobs. Thanks to the development, Hungary's import exposure on the bakery goods market is decreasing .
