Under the auspices of the Office of the Parliament , a documentary titled Dethroned Kingdom – The last Hungarian king's attempt to return Through Károly's first attempt to return in 1921.

At the end of the First World War, not only the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy was in danger, but also the institution of the kingdom. In Hungary, which was trying to get back on its feet after the war collapse, the communist dictatorship and Trianon, one of the most divisive political debates unfolded around the form of government. The issue was not resolved even after the election of Miklós Horthy as governor: there were those who would have changed the situation as soon as possible.

The documentary presents this lesser-known, yet decisive moment in Hungarian history with a historically authentic cinematic reconstruction of the events. The events can be followed with the help of costume scenes, archival recordings and the famous researchers of the era - Róbert Fiziker, Petra Hamerli, Mihály Nánay.
