The Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB) launched a calculator on its website for comparing Qualified Consumer-Friendly Home Insurances.
For the time being, the calculator can be used to compare the qualified home insurance policies of three insurance companies. This number will soon increase to six with the entry of the three insurance companies that obtained authorization in February.
A similar comparison program of consumer-friendly home loans and personal loans has already started - all consumer-friendly schemes are available on the www.mnb.hu/fogyasztobarat .
According to MNB data, the certified consumer-friendly home insurance policies already sold protect HUF 65 billion in household assets.
Consumer-friendly home insurance includes an expanded basic package that covers the 15 basic elemental risks (such as fire, storm, lightning) and 5 more common household damage types (such as water damage, burglary, glass breakage). For the product type, the central bank stipulates faster claims settlement, digital processes, family-friendly services, and the possibility of cancellation every quarter.
