The chairman of the Volner Party called the poll published by the Civitas Institute showing the strengthening of Jobbik a political scam on Monday at a press conference in Budapest. According to him, Civitas was a classic Jobbik background institution and is probably financed by Jobbik to this day.
János Volner, who previously politicized in Jobbik, stated that Civitas was a classic Jobbik background institution, whose former leader was integrally involved in creating Jobbik's program and was a member of the party's central apparatus.
The purpose of the political scam is also for Jobbik to improve its positions within the left-wing alliance, the politician added.
He said: Jobbik now tried to deceive the voters by "putting" Zoltán Kész, a left-wing ex-parliamentarian, at the head of the institute. This is how they try to cover up the fact that the institute that signals the strengthening of Jobbik is actually financed by Jobbik, presumably until today, he added.
He reminded that before the 2019 European Parliament elections, the Compass Institute, which is also financed by Jobbik, measured Jobbik at 14 percent, which ultimately achieved a result of 6 percent.
János Volner believed that the parties of the left coalition are trying as much as possible to get rid of the name of the DK president, Ferenc Gyurcsány, who actually leads the left, and therefore they are trying to pretend that the order of power of the opposition parties is different from the real one.
