The elected parliamentary representative of Ferenc Gyurcsány's party would significantly raise gasoline prices. According to DK's Ferenc Dávid, the fuel price cap should be phased out by the end of the summer - step by step and with a "shared burden". According to the politician, everyone should be involved in bearing the burden. A few days ago, Ferenc Dávid attacked the tax exemption for those under the age of 25, M1 News reported.

Although gradually, the regulation of fuel prices must be abolished - this was also argued by the DK's economic expert, the party's elected member of parliament, in ATV on Tuesday. According to Ferenc Dávid, the government should involve everyone in bearing the burden in this matter. In this way, as he put it, the higher gasoline price could even become permanent by the end of the summer.

" It doesn't work if we raise it by HUF 200 out of 480, they won't do it in mid-May either, but I think that if they could implement it by the end of the summer with such a shared responsibility, shared burden, then such a higher petrol price ", he explained.

However, the increase will not necessarily be necessary: due to the Chinese closures caused by the coronavirus, the demand for crude oil has fallen in the Far Eastern country. Declining consumption also had a positive effect on world market prices. That is,

while, according to experts, there is a good chance that the domestic price cap will continue to be sustainable because of this, DK's Ferenc Dávid argued for the introduction of the gasoline price cap.

This is how Origo summarized the statement of Gyurcsány's man - Ferenc Dávid, who would thoroughly raise gasoline prices. The portal reminds us: this is not the first idea of austerity by the elected representative of the DK parliament.

The DK politician also took a stand on the ATV program against the personal income tax refund for those raising children. Calling the measure unjustified, he then argued against the tax exemption for those under the age of 25.

" It is completely unjustified that employees under the age of 25 do not pay personal income tax. Why don't they participate in the public burden? ” he asked.

Ferenc Dávid of the Gyurcsány party did not stop there, and among the unsustainable measures he also mentioned the utility reduction.

The left, led by Péter Márki-Zay, fought against price caps throughout the campaign.

Similar to Ferenc Dávid from DK, the left's former candidate for prime minister aimed at cutting utilities, limiting fuel prices, and even the food price freeze.

Analysts warned then: the politics of the left are familiar. Before 2010, the same was represented by Ferenc Gyurcsány.
