The 2021 open tenders of the National Talent Program have been published. You can apply for a total of HUF 2 billion in funding as part of the open tenders of the National Talent Program for the 2021-2022 school year, including the popular National Young Talents Scholarship.

Support for talents is a priority national issue for the Government. As part of the National Talent Program tenders, between 2009 and 2020, supporter decisions were made for more than 15,000 projects, the amount of grants awarded exceeded HUF 24 billion. In 2021, approximately HUF 3.6 billion will be available for the implementation of the National Talent Program, and approximately 300-350,000 talented young people can participate in the program to help develop their talents every year.

Individuals, talent support organizations, vocational colleges, domestic and international educational institutions, as well as organizations that implement projects supporting talents, from kindergarten talent development programs to the National Academic Student Conference, can apply for the tenders now announced with a budget of HUF 2 billion.

Among the calls for organizations, there is a resource available for the organization of academic and art competitions, as well as a call in the framework of which young people participating in international competitions can receive support.

You can apply, among other things, for the development of natural science and digital competences, mother tongue programs; also for the implementation of programs that help artistic and sports talents, as well as young people with disabilities or socio-culturally disadvantaged situations.

The form of support provided directly is the Nation's Young Talents Scholarship, which since 2015 has provided the opportunity for talented Hungarian youth to receive scholarship support within the framework of the Program. So far, more than 3,700 exceptionally talented young people have received scholarships. Applicants can use the scholarship to develop their talent: for example, they can take part in personalized individual training abroad or buy tools necessary for their development.

The 11 calls that have just been published can be found on the website www.emet.gov.hu. The deadline for submitting applications is June 30, 2021, and for some applications, July 31, 2021.
