There are 6,566 new infected people, thus increasing the total number of identified infected people to 685,979 since the beginning of the epidemic. Most of the 211 people who died were elderly and chronically ill, so the number of those who died rose to 21,715. 11,571 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals, of which 1,440 are on ventilators. The vaccination program is running smoothly and according to schedule, Hungary is second in the EU vaccination ranking list. 22.9% of the Hungarian population has already been vaccinated, compared to the EU average of 12%. 83% of registered people over 65 have already received the vaccine.

Vaccination continues during the Easter holidays. From Saturday, in Budapest, in addition to general practitioners' offices and hospital vaccination points, specialist clinics will also be involved in the vaccination, so that as many people as possible can receive the vaccine even during the Easter holidays. In the designated 18 specialist clinics, registered patients organized by the capital's general practitioners are still vaccinated today.
