The 100-member Gypsy Band represents a unique, Hungarian value, which is why the Minister of Human Resources gave HUF 30 million in extraordinary support to the band.

The 100-Member Gypsy Band, winner of the Hungarian Heritage and Hungarikum Award, has received numerous domestic and international recognitions. They traveled all over the world and introduced music lovers to the inimitable art of Hungarian gypsy music.

During the coronavirus epidemic, the VII. the opposition mayor of the district, Péter Niedermüller, sent the band away from the building where they had been rehearsing and preparing for performances for more than a decade. After that , Prof. Dr. Miklós Kásler ordered that the state secretariat responsible for culture provide a worthy and permanent location for the orchestra. This building is currently being searched.
