Like Austria and Slovenia, Hungary will help the Czech Republic and provide 40,000 vaccines in the first half of May, because by then Hungary will have enough vaccine to vaccinate everyone, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade announced on Facebook on Saturday.

In his post, Péter Szijjártó stated that "the Czech Republic (also) found itself in a difficult situation due to the European Commission's faulty vaccine procurement". "Because we acted on time and the government bought a large amount of Eastern vaccines in addition to the joint procurement in Brussels, we are at the forefront of the European Union in terms of vaccination coverage in proportion to the population," explained the minister.

Visegrad and Central European solidarity must come to the fore even in this difficult situation.
