The news portal points out that Bavaria has satisfied Angela Merkel and her government, primarily the German Minister of Health Jens Spahn, for the handling of the epidemic situation (and especially the vaccine orders). Spahn announced on Thursday that the German government will make the order of the Russian vaccine dependent on the results of the official investigation by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

The provincial Ministry of Health announced in a statement that, in addition to the possibility of importing the vaccine from Russia, it is also open to the Russian pharmaceutical company R-Pharm establishing its own plant in the city of Illertissen in Bavaria.

"Recent experiences in the field of vaccine supply show that it is very important to create local production capacities in Germany as well"

Bavarian Minister of Health Klaus Holetschek stated.
