Three settlements were surprised by the Civil Solidarity Forum and the Association of Hungarian Women's Interests today. Helvécia received a drying device, Ballószög a bottling machine, and Szentkirály a juice maker as a gift.

- We are very happy with the drying machine, which we will use at events in the settlement, such as the village's birthday, May 1, August 20, the day of the elderly, and harvest days. It will be clear what kind of fruit will be left after the frosts, which we will be able to dry, said Károly Balogh, the mayor of Helvécia.

By the way, the village is happy to lend the dryer to anyone who needs it. Tamás Gyula Szeberényi, deputy mayor of Kecskemét , also participated in today's handover in Helvécia He told our staff that the affected settlements also help each other out.

- Helvécia, Ballószög and Szentkirály, they will exchange the equipment among themselves, so each settlement will have the opportunity to use these devices to prepare food at home, which will come in very handy, especially now in the middle and end of the epidemic - highlighted Gyula Tamás Szeberényi, Kecskemét deputy mayor.

In 2016, the Civil Solidarity Forum launched a civil mission, to which the Association of Hungarian Women's Interests also joined. This mission consists of 4 pillars. Today's event concerns two of them, modern children's meals, and the processing and sale of local raw materials of small producer communities. In addition to the machines, the settlements also received a very useful book.

– On the one hand, the book contains foods that comply with the legislation called the salt ordinance, as well as all regulations related to public catering and children's meals. On the other hand, this is an absolutely practical cookbook, since it contains dishes that can be made either in a canteen, in large quantities, or even at home, in small quantities, said Norbert Heizler, the national coordinator of the CÖF .

There is also a pedagogic background in the book, introducing food to children also plays a major role. In this way, young people are more likely to try foods that are unknown to them.
