The LMP demands the end of free parking, deputy faction leader Antal Csárdi said at his online press conference on Friday.
The politician stated: if vaccination against the coronavirus makes it possible for tens of thousands of people to gather at a football match or if hotels can open to guests, then the free parking, which he believes has been used so far without any significant effect, should also be abolished.
The city center of Budapest has become unlivable - said the representative, adding: the government "shouldn't mess with local governments either"; the decision takes several billion forints away from them.
He also reported that thousands of people have already signed their petition to end free parking.
