The left is carrying out international anti-vaccination propaganda, the head of the European Parliament (EP) delegation of Fidesz-KDNP declared in a video statement sent to MTI on Saturday.

Tamás Deutsch emphasized: the Hungarian left-wing has stepped up its anti-vaccination propaganda in Brussels this week. During the EP debate on the EU vaccine passport, the MSZP, DK, Momentum and Jobbik MEPs "bid against each other and scared the Hungarians" by saying that those vaccinated with the Eastern vaccine may be at a disadvantage when traveling abroad in the summer compared to those vaccinated with other vaccines. "It's trashy banter!" - stated the politician, adding: no matter what vaccine a Hungarian is vaccinated with, he will definitely be able to travel in the summer if he wants to.

According to the EP representative, the whole thing was the obvious intention of the left to unsettle people again and thus dissuade them from getting vaccinated. “In addition to their openly anti-vaccine moves, this was a sneaky anti-vaccine maneuver,” Deutsch said.

In addition, as he added, representatives of the Hungarian left recently "enthusiastically" supported the EP proposal, which gives the false and dangerous impression that testing means protection, similar to vaccination. "This was an extension of the sneaky anti-vaccination of the left," remarked the representative.

Tamás Deutsch emphasized: the testing serves to screen out the infected. No testing provides protection against infection, only vaccination, which in turn saves lives.

The head of the European Parliament delegation of the Fidesz-KDNP said: they are asking everyone not to listen to the Hungarian left's "anti-vaccination campaign, now voiced from Brussels, sometimes openly, sometimes sneakily".

"No one should make vaccination a political issue!" Tamás Deutsch pointed out, adding: "Everyone should get vaccinated, because it's about human lives. Every vaccine administered has saved a life.”

"Vaccination is a national matter," stated Tamás Deutsch.
