Epidemiological restrictions for those without protection will definitely remain in place until August, Gergely Gulyás, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office, stated in today's Government Information. That is why it is important that anyone who is planning a vacation, a trip, or even wants to go to concerts or sports events, get vaccinated as soon as possible and thus replace the plastic card. In connection with the ministerial announcement, we have collected what is worth knowing about the protection card.
After a long social debate decided to introduce the coronavirus protection card to certify those who have been vaccinated.
What does the ID card do?
The government decree stipulated that immunity can be proved in three ways: if someone has received the vaccine and has been infected with the coronavirus, or if someone is believed to have been infected but previously did not know about it. The latter two cases only provide temporary protection against the virus, so it is worth taking the vaccine and the accompanying protection certificate .
If someone has been vaccinated, he does not need to apply for the orange-green plastic card, it is automatically mailed by the state office.
arrive within ten days of the first vaccination . Of course, the "lead time" can be more or less time than a week and a half, slippages may occur when vaccinating a larger crowd. If someone has not received their vaccination certificate within ten days after the first dose, they can check whether the doctor has indicated the fact of vaccination in the Electronic Health Services Area (EESZT). If someone does not receive the expected document within two or three weeks, it is worth complaining, as an administrative error may have occurred.
However, it is important to point out that the protection card is only valid when presenting an identity card or passport, and it cannot be transferred to anyone. Furthermore, it is also important to emphasize that it has no validity period.
What is the card good for?
The advantages of the plastic card were discovered for 4 million vaccinated people. The government has tied several services to its presentation. Thus, anyone who has a protection card can visit in accordance with the new provisions
- the theaters
- dance and music events,
- the circuses
- the cinemas
- training and fitness rooms,
- the swimming pools,
- the public baths,
- the ice rinks,
- zoos,
- the wildlife parks,
- the adventure parks,
- amusement parks,
- the playhouses,
- museums, libraries,
- sports events,
- the interior rooms of the restaurants and
- the hotels.
This only applies to those who have been vaccinated, or more precisely, received their first vaccination, and have their plastic card in their possession. Otherwise, they will fall from these services. Recently , the news arrived that you can go to concerts and festivals, but only with a protection card.
It is worth administering the vaccine before summer
The summer season is approaching, so most people are already planning where they would like to travel with their family or friends. These services are related to security. Therefore, anyone who wants to go on vacation, travel abroad, or relax in a hotel or perhaps at a festival should get vaccinated as soon as possible.
The situation is somewhat complicated by the uncertain legal background of foreign travel, as it is not yet clear how EU member states and various countries accept each other's protection cards. The European Parliament recently adopted the draft legislation on the European vaccine passport in such a way that Eastern vaccines will not be automatically accepted in the document, only those approved by the EMA. Thus, the member states can decide individually whether to allow entry to European citizens who have received, for example, the Russian Sputnik Vt or the Chinese Sinopharm.
That is why the Hungarian government immediately started negotiating, apparently successfully. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, has made several announcements in recent days that he has managed to conclude bilateral agreements on the mutual acceptance of vaccination certificates. Slovenia, Bahrain , Serbia, Montenegro, Romania and Croatia - we can definitely travel to these countries this summer. Negotiations are ongoing with other countries, including Israel and Greece, to ease travel restrictions.
"Hungary strives to conclude bilateral agreements with as many countries as possible, so that everyone can go on vacation to these countries, regardless of the type of vaccine received," stated Gergely Gulyás at today's press conference.
