Persecuted Christian communities throughout the Middle East are returning to their homeland with the help of the Hungary Helps Program - writes Tristan Azbej, the state secretary responsible for helping persecuted Christians and implementing the Hungary Helps program, in his Facebook post today.

The Secretary of State recalled in the post: "What can we help you with?" – This is our first question during our humanitarian missions. And the answer of those in trouble: "Help us so that we can return to the land of our ancestors."

The State Secretary notes: the Hungarian model works, the Willkommenskultur has failed – help should be taken to where the trouble is, not to send those in trouble on their way. This principle serves to curb migration!
