On May 14, the organizers officially announced that Hungary will be the focus of EFEx this year, to which the House of Traditions, as an active partner institution, is delegating a professional delegation of ten people from folk music and world music, as well as four outstanding orchestras, including the globally recognized Muzsikás and with the recent Phonogram award-winning Fifth Season.

The annual English Folk Expo (EFEx) and the parallel Manchester Folk Festival are one of the most important English music industry and cultural events at the international level, where, in addition to local, folk music-inspired professional bands, you can also get to know the culture of a special guest country every year. and market representatives, as well as the wider audience.

The English Folk Expo (EFEx) is a charity that supports the English folk music sector with various projects and initiatives. Festivals and various professional events are hosted every year in order to present the most promising ensembles that feed on folk music and play acoustic and traditional instruments to the public. Held every October, the Manchester Folk Festival brings together an average of 180 music industry representatives to meet more than 40 artists up close and personal during the three-day event.

 

As a prominent partner of this year's event, the House of Traditions represents Hungarian folk and world music genres. From the institution's list of the best performers, the English festival organizers selected the world's best-known Hungarian folk music ensemble, Muzsikás Ötödik Évszak which earned a Phonogram award this year with its first album, Pengetős Trio , which plays the role of a bridge between peoples' cultures with its unconventional orchestration DALINDA , which releases special female energies. the a cappella trio was chosen to represent the diverse Hungarian and Carpathian traditional culture with their music that connects the past with the present. Among the invited performers, DALINDA and the Pengetős trio are also participants in the international portfolio of the House of Traditions.
