41 people died, most of them elderly, chronically ill, and another 258 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the coronavirus - koronavirus.gov.hu announced on Monday, highlighting that 5,023,145 people have been vaccinated in Hungary so far, 3,012,483 of whom have already received the second dose they also received a vaccine.
It was written on the government portal: the number of infected people identified in Hungary has increased to 802,346. The number of those who died rose to 29,560, and those who recovered rose to 670,205.
The number of active infected people is 102,581. Hospitals treat 1,420 coronavirus patients, of whom 169 are on ventilators.
There are 13,211 people under official home quarantine, and the number of samples has increased to 5,743,991.
They pointed out that thanks to the vaccinations, the third wave of the epidemic was defeated, and with the achievement of 5 million vaccinated, the new, fifth stage of the restart came into effect.
