According to surveys, the favorites of the mainstream, the Greens in Germany, have lost their support for two consecutive weeks, while Angela Merkel's, or more recently, Armin Laschet's conservative bloc has gained popularity not seen in four months, reports körkép.sk .

The Greens fell to 22 percent, while the CDU/CSU union gained 1 percentage point to 25 percent in Bild am Sonntag's weekly INSA survey . The preference of the Greens dropped by 1 full percentage point for the second time, even though it seemed that they would succeed Merkel as German chancellor. Federal parliamentary elections will be held in Germany on September 26.

The Social Democrats also weakened (by one percentage point), while the Free Democrats stagnated (13 percent), as did the nationalist AfD (12 percent). The extreme left, which is very politely called anti-capitalist in the mainstream press, gained one percentage point (7 percent).
