As the start of school approaches, schools also provide the opportunity to vaccinate students over the age of 12 who, for some reason, cannot book an appointment online.

Hungary was among the first to vaccinate children over the age of 12, parents have been able to register since June. So far, nearly 200,000 people in the 12-17 age group have registered for vaccination and 162,000 (81%) have already taken it.

Online registration and appointment booking are still open, this is the easiest way to vaccinate your child. In addition, there will be a vaccination campaign in schools on August 30 and 31 and September 2 and 3.

In the next few days, schools will notify parents electronically about the possibility of vaccination at school. The parent must inform the school by August 25 at the latest whether or not they request the vaccination for their child. Based on this, the schools aggregate the vaccination needs, and based on the number of students, the location of the vaccination will be designated either in the student's own school or in a nearby school, of which the parents will receive a separate notification along with the exact date of the vaccination.

The vaccination will take place with the Pfizer vaccine with the involvement of school doctors and general practitioners.
