Hungarians are holding commemorations throughout the country and beyond the borders today, on the day of national unity, on the 101st anniversary of the signing of the Trianon Peace Treaty that ended the First World War. In Budapest, an outdoor photo exhibition will open at the Parliament, and in the evening a special performance will be held at the National Theatre.

The central programs in the capital begin at 9 a.m. An outdoor photo exhibition opens at the Parliament, , János Árpád Potápi, the Prime Minister's State Secretary responsible for national policy, will make a speech. Around a hundred photos will be exhibited from the works submitted to the competition called "Hungarian eyes" The exhibition can be seen this weekend.

The Holy Crown can be viewed free of charge in the Parliament today between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. - with a protection card.

In the National Theater, the ceremonial performance will begin at 6:00 p.m., and a ceremonial speech will be given by Zoltán Balog, the Reformed bishop and the pastor president of the church synod. (The speech will be broadcast live on the M5 television channel.

Also as part of the central programs, the renovated Rákóczi Hotel, Camp and Event Center will be opened in Sátoraljaújhely, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office, Gergely Gulyás, will make a ceremonial speech.

According to the Mayor's Office, the Fisherman's Bastion will be lit up in the national colors in the evening. The decorative lighting will be visible on Saturday and Sunday evenings as well.

Commemorations are held in the countryside and beyond the borders, and monuments are inaugurated on the occasion of the Day of National Unity. In addition, there will also be an online commemoration on the Facebook and YouTube channels of "National Holidays and Memorial Days".
