Judit Varga stated: The victims have not received compensation from the Gyurcsánys to this day.

53 people injured as a result of police actions in the fall of 2006 will receive compensation from the government, the Minister of Justice announced on Saturday on his Facebook page. Judit Varga wrote: "In the fall of 2006, the soul of an entire nation was wounded by the mindless violence during which the government of that time, instead of being responsible for its own crimes and omissions, punished people with a rubber stick."

He pointed out that among the people who suffered harm as a result of the police actions between September 19 and 22, 2006, and on October 23, 2006, and the victims of police attacks, there are still some who have not received compensation even 15 years after the events. Therefore, the Hungarian government is offering a compensation amount of EUR 862, corresponding to the previous compensations, to the 53 victims

whose fundamental rights were trampled on by the Gyurcsány government and to this day they have not received the compensation they deserve

the minister added on his social media page.
