Virgin Mary statues were vandalized by teenagers in Baranya

On Saturday, the police received a report that a church had been broken into in Lotárd, Baranya county, according to the police's website .

The police arrived at the scene and found that unknown people entered the church the night before, and then there

several windows were broken, a crucifix was broken, two statues of the Virgin Mary were damaged, and clothes used during religious worship were thrown.

A fence and a car mirror were also damaged in the settlement.

The police collected data and then arrested the suspected perpetrators, who caused more than one million forints in damage. The six young people, aged between 15 and 17, were produced and then questioned as suspects. The Pécs Police Department is investigating them for multiple acts of vandalism and group rioting.
