Katalin Novák, minister without portfolio responsible for families, wrote the following lines on her social media page not long ago.

I also work for Hungarian families as a representative. Recently, a mother contacted me and told me that she cannot use the personal income tax exemption for mothers with four or more children because one of her children lives in a residential social institution due to his disability. After professional consultations, my fellow representatives and I decided to submit an amendment proposal related to the tax laws so that in such cases mothers would also be entitled to the discount . It is an honor that my fellow representatives also supported me in this task, so today the Parliament accepted the bill on the amendment of certain tax laws.

We also decided on another important matter today : we were looking for a way for the parent who is left alone with the child to get help in collecting the arrears of alimony. Today, the Parliament unanimously, with full support, accepted the law amendment proposal, which clearly prioritizes the interests of children. The amendments will increase the efficiency of lawsuits related to the determination of child support, the collection of child support will become faster and more efficient, and the legal regulations related to the advance payment of child support will become more favorable.
