Migrants and activists protested in Mexico against Vice President Kamala Harris' visit to the country this week, demanding that the Biden administration "stop deporting illegal aliens."

The group Angels Without Borders and the Migrant Federation of Tijuana protested Harris, who was visiting the country Andrés Manuel López Obrador over the United States' ongoing illegal immigration crisis. One protester held a sign asking the Biden administration not to interfere in Mexico's affairs and called the federal government's Agency for International Development (USAID) a "coup agency."

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, a communist-affiliated organization protested Harris with a banner reading "Workers of the World Unite."

As you know, US Vice President Kamala Harris, who attacked Donald Trump's migration policy in last year's presidential election campaign and campaigned with her own immigrant parents, sent a message to migrants coming from the south during her visit to Guatemala on Monday: Don't come! Don't come!”

Meanwhile, the number of people arriving without travel documents at the southern border of the United States is constantly increasing: in April of this year, more than 178,600 illegal immigrants were arrested, the most in 15 years. 82 percent of them come from Mexico or the countries of the so-called Northern Triangle region, i.e. Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.
