199 people infected with the new coronavirus were identified, 8 patients died

These data were published this morning by the information website Koronavirus.go.hu.

Vaccination is ongoing, the number of vaccinated people is 5,324,996, 4,157,681 have already received their second vaccination. The number of newly infected people is 199, thus increasing the total number of identified infected people to 806,790 since the beginning of the epidemic. 8 people died, most of them old, chronically ill, so the number of those who died rose to 29,904.

The number of recovered people is constantly increasing, currently 724,614 people, and the number of active infected people has decreased to 52,272. 442 coronavirus patients are being treated in the hospitals, 51 of them are on ventilators.

Hungary remains second in the EU vaccination rankings. 54.5% of the Hungarian population has already received the vaccine, compared to the EU average of 42%.

At the Operatív Törzs' briefing today, among other things , Róbert Kiss announced that the Operatív Törzs' briefing will cease. Data on the epidemic and the vaccination situation will only be published on weekdays, since the third wave has ended.
