In yesterday's government briefing, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that in the upcoming national consultation, people will be asked for their opinion on raising the minimum wage to the level of HUF 200,000 in one or more steps, with the idea that small and medium-sized businesses should be given tax breaks to compensate for this. At the same time, they are asking the people for confirmation on the issue of the SJA refund for parents raising children, as well as the loan moratorium, as well as on the issue of migration and the climate tax.

This morning, Radio Kossuth Good morning, Hungary! in his program, he said at the beginning of the conversation that the pension premium is different from the repayment of the pension. The latter is linked to earnings growth and economic growth, he added. If the restart is successful, the pension premium will also be higher, he said. The tax refundable for families is related to the fact that they are now active. The country is not doing so well now, but the situation after the pandemic can be successful.

According to Viktor Orbán, a meaningful debate is to whom the sources of possible additional growth will go. There is a general consensus that families bore most of the burden during the crisis, so the tax to be refunded to them is justified.

Viktor Orbán stated that there needs to be agreement on the coordinate system of what is good and what is bad. Does the country agree that after the epidemic the economy will not be the same as before? There will be big changes after the epidemic, he added. This epidemic was not the only one, but there will be more epidemics, because we live in the age of epidemics and migration.

Regarding migration, the Prime Minister said that hordes of migrants are knocking on every door in Europe. Many people want to come by both land and sea routes. Last year, 10,000 wanted to enter Hungary, while this year 38,000 wanted to enter Hungary, he added. The issue of the epidemic will go away, the issue of migration will return. "Hungary's position is clear, in fact I would like to strengthen the Hungarian position.

Not only illegal migration, but no migration would be allowed for the next two years.”

The latter will be included in the national consultation. According to Viktor Orbán, the main question is whether we can be good people if we do not allow migrants. Migration is inherently bad, there is only bad migration , he added. If someone can't get by, they have to get better, said the prime minister. If we have to help each other in something, then we have to help everyone live a human life where they were born, he added.

Moving on to economic topics, the prime minister spoke about the fact that MKIK had put brilliant proposals on the government's table. It is not the entrepreneurs' business what type of help they get, because they give people jobs. The prime minister is waiting for new proposals. A large loan program is being launched with the help of Kavosz, he added. Regarding the minimum wage of 200,000 as a long-term goal, he explained that in the case of SMEs there may be layoffs due to the higher minimum wage.

It is necessary to agree with the economic actors how to manage this higher amount, he added. The guaranteed minimum wage will be even higher.

Regarding the pandemic, he confirmed what he said yesterday by saying that everyone is responsible for their own destiny. Taking the first vaccination and then not taking the second is not a good procedure. Of course, there are those who did not take the vaccine due to other diseases, but the vast majority are not like that. Everyone should take the second vaccination, otherwise they will be removed from the protection list.

It is not the government's job to harass people, Viktor Orbán added.
